In a city, a new sport discipline was born, a mixed between dodgeball and parkour, called “Yamadodgie”.

About the creation :
It’s a school project in group, made with Unity in C# for Nintendo Switch, in 3 weeks, in which we were ask to create a simple protype quickly and then port it to Switch with specific mechanics of the console. We were 3 gameplay programmers, in charge of the prototype, and 3 game programmers, in charge of porting to Switch and related features.
The concept of the game is to race against your opponent, like SpeedRunners, if no player has lost during the race, they will be separated by a dodgeball match.
For this project, I made the level design and developed the obstacles as well as the camera behaviors and the different ways to lose, such as by leaving the display area of the camera, touching an obstacle or the ball sent by your opponent.
Tips :
During the race, risk is rewarded, for example by jumping ahead, at the risk of being extremely slowed down in case of failure, and conversely by making a huge blind jump.
